THE NAME
Genova Consulting takes its name from a business established by Liam’s grandfather, George (John) Edgar.
After years working in telecommunications, he founded Genova Telecom, combining his initials, G E, with “nova” to represent something new. It marked a move from large-scale infrastructure environments to building something independently.
Technology was always central to their relationship. From an early age, Liam was building computers alongside him, learning how systems worked, from hardware through to software. That early exposure shaped a lasting interest in structure, connectivity, and how technology supports real-world function.
Genova Consulting is a continuation of that thread. While the tools have changed, the principles have not. Build properly. Understand how systems work. Do not cut corners. Create something that lasts.
The name is a nod to that legacy.
